About Us Compass Consulting Team started out as a career transition, coaching, and outplacement company in 2009. After building a successful practice, and being the initiators of the Pinkedin Job Networking Parties, they began to look at the possibility of having an internet radio show. They were approached by Modavox Internet "live" radio which operates over 300 stations throughout the US and has an expanse world-wide. Within a month they were up and running with their own show, "The PURPLE COWch with Jane and Al." The radio show airs every week with special guests that discuss the issues of the day. The show first started out to be for Job Seekers, Career Transitioners and Re-Careerers, but soon has expanded to include small to medium business issues. The PURPLE COWch with Jane and Al offers practical, effective, pertinent advice and information on topics that range from talent development and retention to making products and services "remarkable" through cultivating and sustaining innovation (Making Purple Cows) to developing Tribal Leadership and cultures that embrace and leverage natural groups, to finding companies and people that are doing Great Work! They hope to offer e-learning and video training modules on some of their more popular subjects for a more in-depth view and natural pace to learning and applying. Being entrepreneurial, nimble, and flexible has its advantages and they soon evolved and merged their other company, 8 elements, into Compass Consulting Team. (You can still go to the 8 elements web site, but it will redirect you to Compass Consulting Team). The merge of their two companies has been a good move for them. They have emerged as the premier Coaching and Training Company that coaches people and businesses in the "Art of becoming Remarkable". They do this by offering Purple Cow Training, a workshop that engages participants in examining their products and services under the microscope of Purple Cow philosophy and helping organizational group's align, guide, and sustain innovation on an integrated basis. Tribal Leadership Training, a workshop on understanding, coaching, and speaking tribal language and helping tribal members "unstick" themselves and move to higher levels of growth and development. "By coaching companies on "how to" build a tribe of Tribal Leaders, become more effective workplaces, greater strategic success, less stress, and more fun, we help our clients build a better organization in which the best people want to work and make an impact. We help organizations practice sustainability and remarkability." says Jane Andersen. In the "trilogy", they offer Igniting Team Power, a workshop where they help groups of people become truly "authentic" teams. It's at this stage of group growth where teams are performing their best and doing Great Work! "We have found that companies are wonderful at doing "good" work, says Al Andersen. We help businesses understand the difference in good work and doing "great" work. This is where you have the most fun, are the most creative, and can really transform your organization, products and services into the stuff people want, love and will buy!" The "team" also has a number of other specialty workshops, activities, and assessments that cover an array of topics. They are in the process of publishing their Customer Service Field Manual, "Cowstomer Service". They also offer speaking services to businesses, organizations, and non-profit groups that want to break from the "boring" and live a little on the edge. Don't be surprised if you see a Purple Cow come into the room or an Indiana Jones look-a-like dancing to "Work to Do" (Average White Band). No, Compass Consulting Team, is not your "typical" management consulting company. They aspire to consistently performing "remarkably", delivering unparalleled workshops, and inspiring a generation of Purple Cows that get people sneezing.
